Carabineros!!

Después de tanta lluvia, la nieve hizo su majestuosa aparición en las montañas. No nos cansamos de verlas!!! Parece que estamos dentro de una postal.

Jason nos llevó hoy en el carro a conocer los centros de ESQUI cercanos a Santiago. Como llovió tanto, sabíamos que habría mucha nieve allá arriba...pero en el camino montañoso, nos pararon los "carabineros" (policías en Chile) y nos preguntaron si teníamos cadenas para ponerle a los neumáticos (cauchos en Chile) porque la nieve y el hielo en el camino nos impedirían llegar, o peor aún, nos podríamos estrellar. Con tristeza nos devolvimos a casa, ya que no estabamos listos para tal hazaña. Será la próxima vez!

After so much rain, the snow made its majestic appearance in the mountains. We never get tired of seeing it! It seems that we are in a postcard.

Jason took us in the car to the Ski resorts near Santiago. Because it rained so much, we knew that there would be lots of sno. .. But we were stopped the "carabinieri" (policemen in Chile) who asked us if we had chains to put on our tires because snow and ice on the road would prevent us from getting there, or even worse, we could crash. With sadness we returned to our apartment because we were not ready for that. It will be next time!
